Diana Benitez

Diana is currently pursuing her Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus in community economic development and the intersection of the built environment and health. Her interests have taken her to Brazil where she studied sustainability and conducted an urban design walkability study of a bus terminal. She is currently working at the Ralph and Goldy Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies and at T.R.U.S.T. South Los Angeles Community Land Trust researching and developing maps that consider policy, affordable housing, transportation, public space, community development, and neighborhood change. Diana was born in Los Angeles and received her Urban Studies and Planning Bachelor’s degree at Cal State Northridge.
