Destiny holds a Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Society and Environment from the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently working on a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research interests include environmental justice, climate change adaptation, equitable land use, and participatory planning. Destiny is on the editorial board for the Critical Planning Journal and serves as the Anti-Oppression Co-Chair for the student group ‘Planners of Color for Social Equity’. Her international interests led her to study abroad for nine months in Central and South America, which included highlights like trekking Patagonia and volunteering for a community-based organic food association in rural Costa Rica.
