MURP ’16, International Practice Pathway Fellow

Carmen is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning with specializations in Transportation Policy & Planning and Design & Development. Prior to graduate school, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies & Planning at UC San Diego. Carmen has worked in transportation planning firms in Arizona and California. This summer she will be interning at EMBARQ Turkey on pedestrianization projects.

Carmen’s career interests are in complete streets, particularly in regards to walkability. Following graduation, she hopes to work abroad and make disconnected urban communities more livable and safe through pedestrian planning and public space design.
