Megaprojects are huge public-works projects that cost billions of dollars and impact lives of millions of people; California high-speed rail program and Three Gorges Dam in China are examples. Highly interactive exploration of politics, and economic and environmental impacts, of such projects. Students create case studies and present them to class. Exploration of risks, governance, forecasts, and cost escalation.
