MURP ’16, Fellow to Center for Environmental Planning and Technology University
Ryan studies transportation and regional and international development at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. His interests have previously taken him to West Africa, Central America, and East Asia, where he has lived and worked in several different capacities. In 2014, Ryan embarked on a nine-month cycling ride across Eurasia in an effort to encourage the use of bicycles. He is now interning with the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology in Ahmedabad, India, analyzing the city’s bus rapid transit system. Ryan was born in San Francisco, received his bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego, and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at UCLA.
