Yongxiao graduated from Peking University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arabic language and literature. Her academic interest is global development with a focus in the Middle East. During her study at Lebanese University (Beirut), Yongxiao conducted research on Palestinian literature resistance against Israeli occupation. Prior to graduation, Yongxiao was an intern for Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Beijing, where she assisted the epidemic research on New Corona Virus in Saudi Arabia. At UCLA, Yongxiao is focusing on economic, social and humanitarian development in the Middle East. Before coming to UCLA, Yongxiao was a representative of PKU in GIYC(Global Innovation Youth Conference) at University of Brisbane, Australia. She was also a volunteer for 2010 Shanghai EXPO.
