Majna was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and moved to the Palm Springs area at the age of six. She graduated with a B.A. in Urban Planning in 2012 from the University of California, San Diego. During her undergrad, she conducted research in regional plans and spent a year interning at The San Diego Foundation. Majna’s GPA cluster is Global Health and Social Services, but she is also interested in expanding to the other available fields. In the MPP program, she is focusing on international policy and health policy. She would love to work internationally after graduation. Ideally, it would be wonderful to combine her international and health policy interests and work in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
