MPP’ 17, GPA Certificate: Global Urbanization and Regional Development
Dennis is a Master in Public Policy candidate graduating in 2017. Having grown up in Peru, Dennis became interested in development issues, especially in Latin America, which led him to pursue a degree in International Development Studies at UCLA, with a minor in Latin American Studies and French. He was a recipient of the Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship, which let him study abroad in France where he researched about immigration issues affecting Eastern Europeans in France. His interest in sustainable urban development made him get an internship at an environmental non-profit in Santa Monica. Currently, he is participating in the Global Public Affairs program with a concentration in Global Urbanization and Regional Development. Dennis is interested in working as a policy analyst or at an international policy organization after graduation.
