IYC11 to Mobilize Global Youth Engagement

Los Angeles, CA – April 8, 2025 – The 11th International Youth Conference (IYC11) will convene in Los Angeles and online from UCLA’s Alumni Center, May 1st to May 4th, 2025, with April 30th set aside for community engagement activities. Organized by the International Organization of Youth and hosted in partnership with UCLA Luskin, IYC11 is backed by esteemed collaborations with UN-Habitat, UNITAR, UN Environment Program (UNEP), UNA UCLA, and the Los Angeles County Department of Youth Development. IYC11 aims to empower young attendees alongside a vast and global online audience.

To date, more than 40,000 people are expected to register to attend IYC11 online and in person, with 450 participants selected to join on-site. With a focus on youth shaping global development, policy-making, and international cooperation, IYC11 features panelists from UN agencies such as UN-Habitat, UNITAR, UNEP, and civil society leaders, dignitaries, ambassadors, youth activists, academics, and luminaries in social development, policy innovation, and global partnerships. Happening simultaneously in Mexico, India, and parts of Africa, and live streaming worldwide, the conference underscores its commitment to fostering broad participation and facilitating global discourse.

Actionable Outcome: IYC leads the way to sustainable change in 2025. Aligned with the Second World Summit for Social Development, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape global policy, an Outcome Document from IYC11 will synthesize discussions and resolutions, and articulate our global youth agenda. This document will be delivered directly to key figures, including the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the UN General Assembly, and representatives from member states of the United Nations, European Union, African Union, and the Commonwealth. IYC11 will also host a vibrant collaboration hub with exhibits featuring youth-led organizations and grassroots projects from across the globe, providing an interactive space for connection, innovation, and visibility.
