Taking place in Oakland, California, on June 18-21, the Summer Institute on Migration and Global Health will give you access to insights from worldwide national and international recognized experts who will teach the relationship between migration and global health from a diverse array of perspectives. This will be a great opportunity for researchers, students and professionals to learn about various health issues affecting mobile populations, and to create new professional networks.

September 28, 2015
From the organizers:
Every year, we host a week-long series of events called Global Health Awareness Week to educate students, staff, and faculty about emerging global health topics. For 2016, we have decided to change the format to a one-day conference, which has been named the Southern California Global Health Conference to be held on Saturday, February 6th. The conference is primarily led by the UCLA medical students in the Global Health Interest Group with assistance from students of the USC Institute for Global Health. We are seeking several more student leaders and planners from all schools at UCLA, both graduate and undergraduate, to help plan this exciting event.
Please distribute the attached application to any students who are passionate about global health and who are interested in leadership opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for any student to gain exposure to the multiple disciplines in global health, meet and network with many leaders in global health, and gain experience in planning a large-scale event.
Please note, applications are due by the end of day, Friday, October 2nd. Please feel free to contact Kaitlin Arena (karena@mednet.ucla.edu) should you have any questions about the application.

CRCC Asia Scholarship Week
October 24, 2015
From the organizers:
CRCC Asia, a proud supporter of the 100,000 Strong Initiative, is committed to increasing and diversifying the number of US students studying and interning abroad in China. To do our part in increasing access to international education, we hold an annual scholarship program which awards funding to students whose financial circumstances might otherwise prevent them from a global experience. In 2015, CRCC Asia awarded over $30,000 in funding to send students on our China Internship Program.
Our November webinar will also take place this week and highlight our scholarship program and other funding opportunities available for international internships. The webinar will take place on November 10th at 1 PM PST and we encourage you to share with your students and sign up yourselves for more information.

Call for Applications: Student Leaders for 2016 SoCal Global Health Conference!
